This is a general motor coordination, physical education
class using introductory gymnastics as the teaching aid.
Students will receive exposure to our scaled down gymnastics
apparatus ( balance beams, bars, trampolines, climbing
ladders etc) while developing loco motor skills and physical
fitness.
Classes are 45 minutes to 1.5 hours long depending on
the age and skill level of the students.
Here the students are grouped by age BUT challenged individually
based on personal skill readiness. Each students attempts
to master skills designed from the USA GYMNASTICS LEVEL
1-4 programs. They move at their own pace on each of the
4 Olympic events ( Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and
Floor Exercise) plus supplemental training on Trampoline
and Strength/Flexibility.
For additional motivation, individual skill cards are
used and achievement ribbons and certificates presented
upon completion of each of the 4 levels on each of the
events.
These “boys only” classes are for the rough
and ready tumbler. Here students are introduced
to the world of boys gymnastics. Instruction on the 6
boys Olympic events is sure to increase coordination,
strength, flexibility and agility. Students receive exposure
to still rings, parallel bars, high bar, pommel horse,
vault and tumbling as well as trampoline training.
This is an excellent opportunity to explore the world
of gymnastics outside of the structured class setting.
Here the parent is the instructor (and responsible for
the safety of the child) in an OPEN PLAY environment.
Come climb, swing, jump, leap, bounce, roll, with your
child in an excellent bonding opportunity.
Tumblestar Time is available at both our Lansing Outlet
Mall/Clark Corners facility (call 668-0805 for times)
